This morning, I faced the Black Friday crowds. Two Black Fridays ago, I went out early in the morning to snag a digital camera deal at Staples and failed miserably when the person in front of me in line grabbed the last one, so when my friend asked if I wanted to venture to King of Prussia Mall with her this morning, I was skeptical; but there were a few things I was looking for, so I figured, “Why not?” Luckily, I was more successful than my last Black Friday venture. Being at the mall by 5:30 a.m., the crowds were actually minimal. I found a great pair of ankle boots — one of the items I was in search of — for 30 percent off, and I picked up some clothes and jewelry at deeply discounted prices. While I scoured Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Macy’s, I couldn’t find a new handbag, which was number one on my list of needed items; but, hey, there’s always the increasingly popular Cyber Monday! Did anyone else head out to do some shopping this morning? Horror stories or great finds? Most sales continue all weekend, so I’m sure I”ll shop once more before the holiday break comes to an end Monday.
