Over the weekend, my husband, our friend and I went hiking at the Delaware Water Gap. The park spans across the Pennsylvania–New Jersey state line. We hiked Mount Tammany, on the New Jersey side. Part of the Kittatinny Mountain range, the peak reaches more than 1,500 feet.

Unfortunately, the weather was incredibly foggy, so we weren’t able to experience the surrounding views, including Mount Minsi on the Pennsylvania side. However, the weather was also cool, which made for a more comfortable hike, temperature-wise. The trails we took were challenging, with a steady, sharp incline to the top and decline back down, offering little flat trail. All in all, we hiked about five miles, with some stops along the way to take photos.

Hungry after the trip, we stopped for lunch at The Beer House Café in East Stroudsburg. We all inhaled our burgers and beers! We decided to make one final stop on the drive back and visited Free Will Brewing in Perkasie. With more than a dozen beers available on tap, we each ordered a flight. I enjoyed each of my selections and would love to visit again.
