It’s not often I can utter the words “my plans for the evening,” “Learjet” and “Rolls-Royce” in one sentence, but today’s the day. I’ve been invited to an event marking the debut of the newest aircraft set to join the Flexjet fleet: a Learjet 85.
Flexjet, a division of Bombardier, offers whole aircraft ownership management services and fractional ownership programs. The company’s fractional program fields a fleet of Bombardier business aircraft including the Learjet 40 XR, Learjet 45 XR, Learjet 60 XR, Challenger 300 and Challenger 605 business jets.
Tonight’s event at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline, Mass., is part of an 11-city U.S. tour co-hosted by Rolls-Royce to introduce the Learjet 85 — the first FAR Part 25 certified business jet built primarily from composite materials utilized to enhance passenger comfort. The company’s new eight-passenger Learjet 85 aircraft will feature the latest innovations in aircraft interior design, newly designed seats, inventive storage solutions and a state-of- the-art cabin entertainment system.
