Chicago Dogs

“Chicago dogs” always referred to Chicago-style hot dogs, a local food favorite. Now, Chicago dogs takes on an entirely new meaning. The Chicago Dogs debut this season in the American Association, an independent professional baseball league comprised of 12 teams.

Based in Rosemont, the Dogs will play at the beautiful new Impact Field. On a recent tour of Impact Field, I was highly impressed with the state-of-the-art facility. Everything about Impact Field is top-notch.

With a seating capacity of 6,300, Impact Field is both cozy and roomy. The concourses are huge. The sightlines are fantastic. The special features and attractions will have something for everyone at the games. Attention was paid to every detail.

Impact Field features 360-degree walk-around capability, with the ability to see the game at all times. There are also various special clubs and areas for unique, more exclusive experiences.

The scoreboard, a first as far as I know, is a huge, double-sided digital board, visible to all in the park as well as the millions of cars driving the nearby expressways. I have never seen anything like it.

Opening Day is Friday, May 18, with the home opener Friday, May 25, and I cannot wait. I have seen Impact Field being built from the groundbreaking. I saw the near-finished product on my recent tour. It is going to be amazing to see it all come together for that first home game. It’s one thing to see the plans and the vision, but seeing the finished product in all of its glory will be an experience to remember.

Mindfulness City in Kingdom of Bhutan Unveiled as Future Economic Hub

In front of an audience of 30,000 Kingdom of Bhutan residents and officials, His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck presented his vision for a new economic hub in Bhutan. Located between India to the south and China to the north, Bhutan is one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Bhutan came late to global tourism. It opened its borders to international visitors in 1974 and, while tourism definitely increased, residents are enduring “light” rush-hour traffic in Thimphu, its capital city, as the only Asian capital without traffic lights.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
