I just signed up for the 2013 Revlon Run/Walk for Women on May 11, and I could not be more excited. This walk is dedicated to help support research, treatment and financial support for women facing cancers. This year marks its 20th anniversary, and I am looking forward to supporting a cause but also making a fun day out of it with a great 5k run with friends and family.
Signing up got me very inspired, and I started looking at other charity walk/runs and half marathons in my area and in cities all over the United States. It got me thinking how I can incorporate my love for travel with a cause or just a challenge. I now have an excuse to spend the weekend in Santa Barbara for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in September and see the sites in Chicago for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series in July.
