Caribe Royale Orlando Celebrates 30th Anniversary

On Oct. 5 I had the pleasure of attending Caribe Royale Orlando’s 30th birthday. The resort, which sits less than 2 miles from Walt Disney World, is a sprawling property with all-suite accommodations, massive pools, a wide range of dining venues, a spa, bars and more.

The celebration for the resort’s 30th anniversary was held in the main lobby, but this lobby is less of a typical lobby and more of a hall, where entrances to bars, restaurants and other establishments open out into the main lobby.Caribe Royale Orlando

Pink lights (in honor of the hotel’s iconic shade you see on the outside and through details incorporated across the property) beamed across the tall ceiling, a DJ was spinning upbeat tracks, and the smell of delicious food wafted through the space, welcoming guests to the celebration.

Food stations highlighted the best of Caribe Royale Orlando’s food, from Calabrian chili lobster pasta to seared scallops to short rib. A dazzling Champagne tower practically beckons you to pull a glass from a tier and sip as you wander about the space, admiring different displays and photos honoring the hotel’s rich past.Caribe Royale Orlando

I didn’t try one, but there were also two signature cocktails — of course, in that same signature pink. But it was clear they were a hit, as many attendees carried these drinks about with them.

The desserts also revealed the skill of Caribe’s pastry team, from raspberry chocolate madeleines to lemon meringue pies. I could have eaten everything, but I was absolutely stuffed.

The event named and awarded 11 employees who have worked with Caribe for 30 years, and it was heartwarming to see their fellow employees cheer them on as they were recognized for their massive achievements.

I did stay at the Caribe Royale Orlando for two nights, and my review will appear in an upcoming newsletter, so keep an eye out!

Review: Villatel Resort Orlando

Opened March 2025, Villatel Resort Orlando is one of Orlando’s newest elevated resorts, but far more unique and private than you’ll find at many other resorts and hotels in the area. The name alone points to an experience beyond your typical hotel room or suite; here, you have the flexibility to select from a wide range of modern villas, ranging from four to nine bedrooms, as well as a series of Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy units.
