In my last blog I wrote about my children and me flying some 65 feet high in the air over alligators . This time I wanted to write about another experience in Orlando, Florida, at none other than Disney World. We love the rides, we love the shows, we love the amenities; however, one of our favorite experiences are Character Dining Experiences. This time we shared two different meals with characters.

Gatorland
The saying “living your best life” comes to mind when I look back at the pictures from Gatorland in Orlando, Florida. My wife and I took our children on a quick trip to Disney World (I am sure that is another blog for another day). We arrived in Orlando in the middle of the day, so we found ourselves looking for something to do. I had remembered seeing billboards for Gatorland the last time I was in Orlando; seems like fun, so why not? Well, fun for some of us. My wife decided to stay back and enjoy the peace and quiet. I think she was thinking the “lull before the storm.” If you have taken your children to Disney World, you understand!
Universal Studios Adventure Island
My boyfriend, Zach, and I made a spontaneous daytrip to Orlando this weekend and went to Universal Studios Adventure Island amusement park. It was my first time stepping into an Orlando park other than Disney or SeaWorld.

Festive SeaWorld
Florida reached record low temperatures this Christmas holiday, causing people to bundle up, light fireplaces and sip on hot beverages. Perfect timing, as it made Christmas more alive. I have been amazed at how innovative Florida is at keeping the spirit of Christmas traditions. For example, I could go ice skating on Christmas Eve in an outdoor skating rink made of ice, which interested me since typically temperatures are well above freezing here.
