As we get to work on our April Wellness Issue, well-being and wellness are clearly on my radar. I wanted to share the return of Blue Zones Retreats at Andaz Peninsula Papagayo. The two immersive four-day wellness journeys in partnership with Blue Zones, an evidence-based wellness organization, will be held Feb. 21–24 and Feb. 24–27 and led by Celine Vadam, a Blue Zones and Hospitality expert. Costa Rica, the resort’s location, is one of the world’s original blue zones.

The retreats combine education, wellness rituals and meaningful conversations to help inspire lasting lifestyle changes. Vadam’s daily workshops will cover topics like happiness, right outlook, purpose and being set up for success. Open to guests aged 18 and over, retreats include the workshops led by Vadam, one cooking class, wellness and movement activities, nature and cultural experiences, and a 20 percent discount on spa treatments. The three-day package is $982, excluding accommodations. Special room rates for retreat participants start at $623 for single occupancy.
