Happy Anniversary GT. It is a pleasure to be part of a team that puts in 200 percent and maintains a wonderful sense of humor. At our annual awards celebration in January, it was very obvious what kind of impact GT has on all its readers and partners in the business and luxury travel world. Thanks for letting me join forces! I look forward to a rewarding, prosperous rollercoaster ride. It isn’t about economic downfall in the GT world — it is all about continued growth and enjoyment of life. As Angela Geissler, Munich Airport, said, “How impressive that winners came all the way from Asia just to accept their award and over 220 people would not miss the night for the world!” A special memory was from that same evening. When the evening had died down and we were wrapping it up and heading back to our hotels, Morissa, Kim, Jackie, Anna and I all piled into Morissa’s posh BMW convertible. The laughter from all of us driving down Sunset Blvd., through Beverly Hills, towards various hotels for drop offs, could be heard miles and miles away. What fun to share silliness and laughter with your coworkers. And what fun to share in the high of such a successful party — one you had to be on an A-list to be invited to. It was the talk of the town for days and days! I even had a client email me and ask why he wasn’t on the list any more, as he had heard all about the fabulous night from many associates.
