As many frequent travelers know, airport car rentals can be quite the nuisance. The last thing any traveler wants to do after a long flight is stand in line at a car rental facility. The lines are often long, and the agents tend to push you to spend more money. Not to mention the price! During my last trip to Dallas, it cost me more than $100 to rent a tiny economy car for one day! One of the latest raves in the car rental industry is Silvercar, a new rental company aimed at offering a better and more efficient airport car rental experience through the use of technology. Basically, all you need to do is download the app, enter your profile information (name, credit card, etc.), book a rental and you’re good to go. Once your reservation is set and your user profile is generated, there are no long lines and no need to talk to an agent. With your smartphone, you simply walk up to a car of your choice, scan the code on the windshield to unlock it, and you’re on your way. The best part about Silvercar is all of the cars are Audi A4s and the prices are very reasonable. I’ve seen rates for as low as $59 per day!
