Next year, Portugal returns to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship calendar, with the Formula 1 Portuguese Grand Prix taking place in Portimão’s Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, June 18–20. The course also secured the stage of the rage in 2028, too.

“In 2027, we will be able to increase this impact significantly, with hundreds of thousands of people over the several days of the event, an extraordinary global audience and an estimated economic potential of around €150 million, with effects on hotels, restaurants, transport, retail, services and a broad chain of companies and suppliers across the region,” said André Gomes, president, Turismo do Algarve.
