A couple weeks ago my family and I decided to spend Sunday afternoon at Peddler’s Village in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Peddler’s Village is a great place to visit year-round, but I enjoy going in the fall for the scarecrows. All the different shops and restaurants compete to see who can make the best scarecrow and ask visitors to vote. This year some highlights were Gritty, Baby Yoda and the Phillies Phanatic.
Once we were done looking at all the different scarecrows, we headed to Free Will Brewery to grab a beer to enjoy while walking around the shops; the brewery and town allow visitors to walk around the property with alcohol since there isn’t much seating around the brewery. My dad and brother got a beer and I got a margarita from one of the festival stands nearby.
We spent the rest of the afternoon wandering our favorite shops and looking at all the unique items and antiques. My mom loves going into the Christmas shop as it has a lot of different decorations you wouldn’t find at Target or Walmart. I like to go into Artisans Gallery because they have a lot of handmade jewelry and knick-knacks.
Normally when we go to Peddler’s Village we eat at Buttonwood Grill, but the village and restaurant were too crowded that day, so we decided to eat at Pineville Tavern, about 15 minutes down the road.
I highly recommend a visit to Peddler’s Village if you are in the area!
