I was fortunate to spend one day last week in one of my favorite Northern cities, Montréal. I went for business and I always enjoy my time in Montréal. I started the trip on a new Air Canada Embraer regional jet. These planes are comfortable, smooth and, even on a short one-hour flight, Air Canada offers full entertainment and drink service. I landed at Trudeau Airport and breezed through Customs. I asked my business associates where they wanted to have lunch, and they recommended La Medusa. I smiled to myself — I had been going to La Medusa for 10 years. As a result, I was greeted with a warm reception from the staff. La Medusa looked the same, and the food was as delicious as I remembered. Next door was a new addition, a pizza place, owned by the Medusa Brothers. It was bright, contemporary, casual and gorgeous. I can’t wait to go back and try that place for lunch next time. I did manage to find time to make a quick stop in a favorite Montréal store, Parasuco. I like to see what trends are popular there. The fashion in Montréal tends to have a more European flare than other North American cities. I am never disappointed at Parasuco. As I headed back to the airport, I noticed other new stores in town, like Tiger of Sweden and Mo851, a wonderful leather goods store. I learned there is a Mo851 in New York City, too. I can’t wait to check them out. I hope you have a chance to visit our friends up North as well.
