Belmond announced three new Grand Suites available for 2020 journeys aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. The new suites join the train’s previous three with a starting price of $7,860 per person.

Each suite channels the culture of a different European city. The Prague Grand Suite sources inspiration from the city’s Baroque and Gothic architecture while blending ancient and modern styles for a unique setting. The Vienna Grand Suite reflects the city’s many historic landmarks and palaces, with its ornate, romantic decor. The Budapest Grand Suite combines Gothic and Ottoman flair in an attempt to capture the city’s two sides.

“As with everything on board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, the design and careful restoration that goes into each suite, whilst respecting the original 1920s art-deco design, is extraordinary. Each meticulous suite will draw inspiration from the romance, adventure and style of each great European city we travel to. The suites evoke the individual city experience whether it is walking along the Charles Bridge in Prague or exploring the contrasting Gothic and Ottoman architecture of Budapest. They are a real tribute to the romance and glamour of Europe and the golden era of rail travel,” said Gary Franklin, vice president, trains and cruises, Belmond.

Grand Suite guests enjoy private transfers to and from the train, free-flowing Champagne, private in-suite dining, bespoke amenities, a complimentary bathrobe and personal 24-hour cabin steward.

The Grand Suites are available on the first 2020 Venice Simplon-Orient-Express itinerary, departing March 21.
