While the novel coronavirus continues to spread, Bangkok Airways is elevating procedures to limit the spread of the virus.

The updated precautions include a few different initiatives, each intended to reduce the likelihood the virus will thrive on the airline. The cockpit and cabins of every aircraft will undergo disinfectant misting and sterilization procedures. Since the beginning of the outbreak, the airline has meticulously cleaned passenger areas with high-level disinfectants daily.

The airline is also upping its game at the airports where it operates. Key areas like check-in counters and food kiosks are being disinfected and cleaned regularly.

Finally, service workers are required to wear protective masks when on duty and gloves when handling food. The airline’s employees have also been asked to not travel if at all possible.
