On National Cheese Lover’s Day, Azamara announced a brand-new land program offering travelers the opportunity to experience a cheese-making workshop on Mount Rigi in the Swiss Alps.
Add the Switzerland Glacier Express Train adventure to any Azamara voyages embarking or debarking from Amsterdam, Copenhagen or Bordeaux, at five nights pre-cruise or four nights post-cruise. On the Glacier Express, guests traverse the towering, 38-foot peaks of Zermatt to reach the resort town of St. Moritz. From there, they enjoy a full-day excursion to Mount Rigi for an authentic, hands-on cheese-making workshop with a local farmer and cheese expert. Guests learn about and taste multiple types of Swiss cheeses, amid panoramic views of lakes and Alpine peaks.
