Avalon Waterways continues to embrace Asia with the launch of a new suite ship to cruise along the Mekong River.
The Avalon Saigon is the newest suite ship from Avalon. According to Avalon Waterways, the smaller suite ships allow for more intimacy among cruisers with destinations and the ship itself. The Saigon is just the latest addition to the organization’s fleet to cruise the Mekong River.
The ship features 18 spacious suites including open-air balconies with panoramic views of the ship’s surroundings. Each balcony features a fully furnished private sitting area, allowing cruisers to take in the sights of the Mekong River on their journey.
The Saigon’s first itineraries began in early October. The Heart of Cambodia and Vietnam is an 18-day itinerary. The ship will also sail the 13-day Fascinating Vietnam, Cambodia and Mekong River.
Avalon Waterways has 22 ships in Asia, South America and Europe. The fleet’s oldest ship is 2009’s Avalon Affinity, which cruises in Europe, including a route between Amsterdam and Munich.
