Sri Panwa, the all-villa, luxury estate in Phuket, is welcoming travelers to Thailand during one of the country’s most popular festivals, Loy Krathong. The festival and special offer from Sri Panwa, available in November, allow travelers to experience a local, authentic visit to Thailand.

During the annual Loy Krathong, locals create elaborate baskets (krathongs), top them with a candle and place them in a lake, river or canal. Loy Krathong is held on the night of the 12^th lunar month and is celebrated in tribute to the Water Goddess for a year of her abundant supply. Some also believe the release of the baskets represents their anger or grudges floating away. If the candle remains lit until the basket is out of sight, it means a year of good luck.
