American Airlines just announced investments to bring major changes to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
American Airlines is investing more than $100 million in its Dallas hub to bring a new fulfillment center to life, add a catering kitchen and expand existing terminal spaces. The airline is also greatly expanding its international network out of the hub.
“These investments will ensure we can continue to welcome the world to and through DFW for a very long time,” said Cedric Rockamore, vice president of hub operations, DFW, American Airlines.
The new catering kitchen replaces the existing one, implemented in 1982. That construction begins next month and is set to take roughly 18 months. The airline is also expanding and changing the airport’s Terminal F. The addition brings four new gates and customer areas and is expected to arrive in 2022.
American Airlines operates 900 daily departures out of Dallas.
