All Nippon Airways updates its wine menu with more than 60 new wines from 15 different countries.
The airline’s process to select the new wines took more than six months. World-renowned sommeliers lent their expertise to the airline in order to select some of the best wines the world over. The list of potential wines started at 2,000 before being narrowed down to the ultimate selection.
“With favorites from Europe, Australia, North America and Japan, we are confident that all passengers will be able to find the ideal wine that perfectly appeals to their preferences. ANA will continue working to improve all aspects of the flight experience, working to perfect every detail and this revised wine selection is just one part of these comprehensive efforts,” said Hideki Kunugi, executive vice president, ANA.
The new offerings consist of Champagnes, reds and white wines. Each class of service has had its menu reworked. A full breakdown of the additions, including brief profiles of each wine, can be found on the airline’s website.
All Nippon Airways competed in Global Traveler’s Wines on the Wing 2019 survey. Overall, the airline received commendations for the quality of its wine.
