Travelers flying out of Italy will enjoy two new flagship lounges from the brand. Located at Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and Milan Malpensa (MXP), the Casa Alitalia lounges embody the best Italian hospitality, from décor to dining. “With Casa Alitalia we will showcase Italian excellence and style in an elegant yet relaxed setting, where a warm welcome with attention to details will make our guests from all over the world feel as they were in a typical Italian home,” said Cramer Ball, CEO, Alitalia. The Italian palazzo-inspired entrance leads to spaces for both socialization and relaxing, as well as a live cooking and dining area. Twice daily, chefs prepare traditional Italian dishes for guests to enjoy, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. In addition, there is a buffet and bar serving Italian wines. Exploring the lounge further reveals private meeting rooms, a library, a prayer room and shower rooms. Casa Alitalia at Rome Fiumicino seats 115 guests, while Casa Alitalia at Milan Malpensa seats 90 guests. At Milan Malpensa, guests also have access to an air jetty for boarding flights straight from the lounge.
