Alaska Airlines will begin daily, non-stop service from Orange County (SNA) to Albuquerque (ABQ) starting Aug. 18.
The airline has been serving the Orange County airport for 30 years, and this new route addition is a convenient offering for customers in Southern California.
“We are pleased to bring low fares and another new nonstop destination to our guests in Southern California,” said John Kirby, vice president of capacity planning, Alaska Airlines. “With this addition, Alaska will offer 21 peak, daily departures to nine destinations from John Wayne Airport, including Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.”
The new flight will depart Orange County at 2:15 p.m. and arrive at 5:15 p.m., and on the return, will depart Albuquerque at 12:25 p.m. and arrive at 1:32 p.m. Flights will be operated on Horizon Air with 76-seat E175 jets, which feature 12 seats in first class, 12 in premium class and 52 in the main cabin. Tickets for the new route are now on sale.
