Alaska Airlines and Singapore Airlines announced a new partnership, resulting in benefits for travelers. Members of Alaska’s Mileage Plan and Singapore’s KrisFlyer start earning miles on each airline’s flights Sept. 27. Additionally, Mileage Plan members can redeem miles for Singapore Airlines’ travel awards in the future, though a start date is currently unannounced. Other perks include a pending codeshare partnership allowing guests booking through Singapore Airlines to travel on either airline with fewer delays.
“Our new partnership with Alaska Airlines enables us to improve connectivity between Singapore and the important North American market, providing customers with more codeshare destinations and enhanced KrisFlyer benefits. It also reflects our commitment to continuously expand our network reach and offer our customers greater flexibility when planning their travel itineraries,” said Tan Kai Ping, senior vice president marketing planning, Singapore Airlines.
“Our guests will enjoy truly distinctive inflight service when traveling with Singapore Airlines, while also taking full advantage of their Alaska Mileage Plan benefits when traveling from the West Coast to Asia,” added Andrew Harrison, chief commercial officer, Alaska Airlines.
