Last week, Alaska Airlines began daily, non-stop service from San José, Calif. (SJC) to Austin (AUS) and Tucson (TUS). With these new flights, Alaska serves more destinations from San José than any other airline by offering non-stop service to 18 destinations with a total of 31 daily departures.
“Alaska Airlines continues to meet the needs of Silicon Valley travelers with new daily, nonstop flights from our San Jose focus city to popular destinations like Austin and Tucson,” said Annabel Chang, vice president, Alaska Airlines, Bay Area. “With the additional flights, Alaska and Virgin America will offer guests 131 daily non-stop flights to 42 destinations from the three major Bay Area airports by the end of the year.”
The flight to Austin will depart San José at 8:45 a.m., arriving at 2:05 p.m. The return will depart Austin at 3 p.m. and arrive at 4:53 p.m.
The flight to Tucson will depart San José at 5:33 p.m. and arrive at 7:45 p.m., while the return will depart Tucson at 7 a.m. and arrive at 9:27 a.m.
The airline’s Embraer E175 will service the flights.
These new flights build on previously announced routes beginning March 20, including daily flights from San José to Newark (EWR), Burbank (BUR) and Los Angeles (LAX).
