Alaska Airlines will join oneworld as the alliance’s 14^th member airline. The hope is to officially join the alliance by the end of 2020. Horizon Air and SkyWest Airlines will join as oneworld affiliate members at the same time.

Upon becoming a member, Alaska Airlines will offer the full range of oneworld customer services and benefits to its customers. Alaska Mileage Plan members will be able to earn and redeem rewards on all other member airlines. The joining will add 34 new destinations to the oneworld network across North America. The airline will become oneworld’s second new full member in recent years, following Royal Air Maroc’s joining in April 2020.
