airberlin and Bulgaria Air plan to launch a codeshare this month on select European routes to offer customers more convenient flight connections. Starting Jan. 14, airberlin will place its code on Bulgaria Air flights from Berlin (TXL), Frankfurt (FRA) and Vienna (VIE) to Sofia (SOF), introducing non-stop flights for the first time from Austria to the Bulgarian capital. Bulgaria Air will also place its FB airline code on flights in the airberlin route network, including domestic flights from Berlin to Dusseldorf (DUS), Cologne (CGN), Frankfurt and Stuttgart (STR) and international services from Berlin to Copenhagen (CPH), Stockholm (ARN), Goteborg (GOT) and Helsinki (HEL). With the new codeshare agreement, passengers from Sofia will have access to long-haul connection flights in airberlin’s network, for example to Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK) and Abu Dhabi (AUH).
