Castello di Vicarello, a 12th-century castle located in the countryside of Tuscany’s Maremma, introduces Villa La Vedetta. Villa La Vedetta used to be the castle’s historic watch tower and is now the estate’s first standalone villa.

The 1.5-year transformation of the former watchtower debuts following the help of the finest local artisans to create this dream of the Bacchesschi Berti family. The two-bedroom villa features hand-carved window frames and doors, Marmorino walls, French oak parquet, original terracotta and stone flooring, and black-and-white checkered marble.

Guests can enjoy unbelievable views of the castle and its surrounding vineyards. The villa offers two spacious suites with en-suite bathrooms featuring freestanding copper bathtubs. The open-plan bottom floor includes a grand fireplace, a full kitchen and an entrance to the private garden.

The villa is also home to secluded gardens, a heated private swimming pool and a rooftop terrace. Guests can also choose to take advantage of the optional in-villa chef and full access to the estate’s award-winning facilities and curated experiences.
