The completion of a joint-liveried aircraft between China Airlines and Airbus marks the completion of the airline’s newest fleet.
The aircraft’s handover took place at a ceremony at Airbus’s headquarters in France earlier this week. The new aircraft will be the first in Taiwan to feature Airbus livery while also flying corporate colors.
The airline’s A350 fleet has been in service since 2016. In that time, the fleet has flown roughly 47,780,000 kilometres and served 2.65 million passengers around the world. This is the 14th aircraft to join the fleet.
According to released information from China Airlines and Airbus, the completion of the fleet reflects well on Airbus, as the manufacturer’s A350 lead China Airlines’ new long-range route effort.
The new aircraft begins service Oct. 26, flying the airline’s Hong Kong (HKG)–Taipei (TPE) route.
