The first Waldorf Astoria in Southeast Asia debuted just a few weeks ago. The Waldorf Astoria Bangkok opened within the 60-story Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard property, within walking distance of shopping, public transit and iconic sites.
The 171 guestrooms and suites feature elegant Thai influences and spa-inspired bathrooms.
Public spaces include six on-site dining options. Front Room is the hotel’s signature restaurant that blends “new Nordic” and Thai flavors. The Brasserie in the upper lobby serves all-day French brasserie-inspired fare; next door, Peacock Alley provides afternoon tea and light dining. On the top three floors, Bull & Bear specializes in grilled meat and seafood; The Loft is a New York-inspired bar; and The Champagne Bar is predicted as the city’s new hot spot. All three provide spectacular views.
“From Waldorf Astoria New York to Waldorf Astoria Chengdu, the Waldorf Astoria brand has a long-standing legacy of defining the hospitality experience for the modern-day traveler,” said Martin Rinck, executive vice president and global head, luxury and lifestyle group, Hilton. “We truly believe that the opening of the new, landmark Waldorf Astoria Bangkok will not only redefine the luxury hospitality landscape throughout Southeast Asia, it will create unforgettable experiences for our guests that will last a lifetime.”
“We are thrilled to be adding Waldorf Astoria Bangkok to our rapidly expanding luxury portfolio here in Asia Pacific,” added Dino Michael, global head, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts. “As we continue to debut contemporary and iconic hotels in landmark destinations all over the world, we consider it a true honor to introduce our brand to a city as vibrant as Bangkok. We look forward to showcasing our signature True Waldorf Service, the personalized, graceful service that has become synonymous with our brand.”

Sep 30, 2026Review: Sushi by Scratch at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley
Husband-and-wife team Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee made their mark by reinventing the term “hidden gem” through their surprising and intentional collection of destination restaurants. While they launched the original Scratch Kitchen in 2013, an expired lease prompted them to relocate to an unassuming strip mall in suburban Encino in 2015 and rename it Scratch Bar & Kitchen. Even at a time when the San Fernando Valley was not known for innovative 5-star dining, the Lees’ concepts gathered such a strong buzz that discerning diners cheerfully followed them “over the hill.”
