United Airlines recently announced its July 2018 Operational Results and you may be surprised by the results. United Express and United Airlines operate approximately 4,600 flights to 357 airports across five continents daily. Last year, United and United Express carried more than 148 million passengers on approximately 1.6 million flights and the trend continues to grow.
According to United’s July 2018 report, consolidated traffic — also known as revenue passenger miles — increased by nearly 7 percent. Consolidated capacity, or available seat miles, also increased, but by 4 percent over the same month last year. Overall, United’s consolidated load factor increased by 2.4 points over July 2017.
A few highlights from the United report include the company’s announcement it is ordering 25 new Embraer E-175 and four new Boeing 787-9 aircraft; a redesigned homepage; digital design and function; and several new company records.
Recently voted Best Business Class Lounge in the United States by Skytrax in the 2018 World Airline Awards, United’s Polaris lounge has been a top highlight in the company’s recent developments.
The company also received a top score, 100 percent, on the 2018 Disability Equality Index for policies regarding disability practices and inclusions. While in and out of the news recently for various flubs, United clearly has a few tricks left up its sleeve.
