With its 2018 schedule, American Airlines introduces 52 new non-stop flights and expanded routes.

“Our 2018 schedule opens up so many new possibilities of destinations,” said Vasu Raja, vice president, network and schedule planning. “We are making it easier and more convenient for our customers to fly on American to places that are important to them all over the world, from serving smaller cities more frequently to visiting places we’ve never flown before.”

Last year, American Airlines announced new international service to Budapest (BUD), Prague (PRG) and Reykjavik (KEF). Now, it announced new domestic routes starting June 7.

These include three routes from Philadelphia (PHL) to Fort Wayne, Ind. (FWA); Oklahoma City (OKC); and Pensacola (PNS). A new service from both Charlotte (CLT) and Dallas (DFW) to Panama City (ECP) and South Bend, Ind. (SBN) begins, as well as a route between Chicago (ORD) and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Penn. (AVP).

Additionally, new shuttle service between Chicago and New York (LGA) starts April 4. Catering to business travelers, the shuttle provides hourly flights between the two business destinations, with services providing flexibility and unique amenities, such as complimentary beer and wine in economy class.

“When you fly frequently for work, anything that can make the regular commute more comfortable is important,” said Alison Taylor, senior vice president, global sales and distribution. “That’s why we’re pleased to offer valuable time-saving opportunities with our Shuttle, including a convenient and consistent schedule and extended check-in times for you and your bag.”
