But before you take your next trip, consider reviewing the results of a new study revealing the average taxi fares of 80 international cities, allowing you to make other arrangements as necessary.

Carspring’s 2017 Taxi Price Index lists the prices of a standard taxi trip from the city’s main airport to the center of town, as well as the type of vehicle most frequently used and whether Uber is an available alternative mode of transit. The top slot belongs to Tokyo, where the average taxi fare from the airport to the city center via a Toyota Crown Comfort is $189.91. Milan and Oslo are second and third on the list, with one-way fares of $101.62 and $86.51 respectively. The most expensive American city on the list is New York City, where a ride in a Ford Crown Victoria costs $71.18.

The cheapest cities on the list are Cairo, Egypt; Mumbai, India; and Tunis, Tunisia, with fares of $4.20, $4.44 and $4.49 respectively. The cheapest American city out of the data from 80 cities is Chicago at $42.47.
