EVA Air revealed new service staff uniforms last week at a celebration to honor the now-retired Boeing 747 passenger jet, Queen of the Skies.
Luxury fashion house Shiatzy Chen and lead designer Wang Chen Tsai-Hsia created the new uniforms. The unique design features color blocks, geometric patterns and streamlined shapes conveying the concept of flying with new scarves to set the uniforms apart from the previous versions.
The new uniforms were presented against the backdrop of the retired jet, which flew for the last time Aug. 21.
“As we bid farewell to our ‘Queen of the Skies’ and her remarkable performance, we welcome our new service image,” said Steve Lin, chairman, EVA Air. “We designed these uniforms for style, comfort and function, and to further enhance our service team’s professional image.”
The new staff uniforms will be introduced on flights and at airports in November.
