This year will see several significant changes and route additions for Southwest Airlines, including new destinations in the United States and Caribbean, as well as non-stop services to cities across the United States.

Pending government approval, the airline will bring its service to Cincinnati (CVG) and Grand Cayman (GCM) beginning June 4.

“Bringing Southwest to Cincinnati not only answers a call from our new community and corporate partners for key non-stop service and broad network access with more affordable fares but also now gives our more than 110 million annual customers access to a full complement of the top 50 markets across the contiguous 48 states,” said Dave Harvey, managing director of business development, Southwest Airlines.

From Cincinnati, the airline will offer non-stop service to Chicago (MDW) and Baltimore/Washington (CVG). This will allow travelers to utilize Southwest’s all-Boeing 737 fleet to access more than 100 destinations across the United States, Caribbean and Latin America.

This year will also see the addition of a new non-stop service between Cleveland (CLE) and Atlanta (ATL), as well as a second daily flight between Cleveland and St. Louis (CPS).

In order to grow its domestic and international reach to meet growing customer demands, the airline will also be investing heavily throughout Florida with a new international flight schedule from South Florida (FLL) to eight international, non-stop destinations, including Montego Bay (MBJ), Belize (BZE), Santa Clara (SNU) and Nassau (NAS).

Additionally, Southwest plans to add daily intra-Florida service non-stop between Fort Lauderdale and Orlando (MCO), a new daily non-stop service between Fort Lauderdale and Washington D.C. (IAD), daily service between Fort Lauderdale and Philadelphia (PHL), twice-daily service between Tampa (TPA) and New York (LGA) and a weekend non-stop service between Pensacola (PNS) and Denver (DEN).
