Popular New York retro hotel NoMad will open another location in Las Vegas in 2018 as part of a $50 million renovation and rebranding of the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. The new hotel will also include a NoMad restaurant by chef Daniel Humm and restaurateur Will Guidara. There will also be a second, larger hotel on the premises called Park MGM and another outpost of New York’s popular Eataly market. The NoMad Hotel will have 292 rooms, a private pool and, of course, gaming opportunities. Park MGM will hold 2,700 guestrooms and suites, plus several dining options — and the massive Eataly marketplace. Expect the Park MGM concept to have European inspiration, but the entire construction will have today’s millennial travelers in mind. Both hotels will have direct access to The Park, an outdoor entertainment district on the Strip, as well as the new T-Mobile Arena and the Park Theater, which will open at the end of this year. Both hotels will open in late 2018. It’s all part of a recent transformation seen in Las Vegas, a conscious move away from the glitz and gimmicks of old in favor of boutique hotels and high-end restaurants and clubs.
