Sterling College in lovely rural Vermont will be the setting for the food writing intensive Food Writing from the Farm May 23–June 3. Offered by The School of the New American Farmstead at Sterling College, the course will be led by forbes.com columnist and cookbook author Clark Wolf, who also hosted television series The Food Show with Clark Wolf and The Big Dish. Other faculty will include chef-writer Ruth Reichl, chef-author Scott Peacock, author and food scholar Krishnendu Ray, publisher Margo Baldwin and journalists Corby Kummer and Kim Severson.

During the two-week course, participants will have the opportunity to experience the region’s strong connection to farming while enjoying interaction with local food producers, farmers and food artisans. Academic credit is offered, but space is limited. Prices begin at $2,250, inclusive of instruction, field trips and most materials. There is an additional meal fee of $250 per participant. Lodging is not covered, but no-frills dormitory-style rooms are available on campus at $150 per week.
