Meliá Hotels International is expanding in Southeast Asia with the signing of three new resort properties under its new lifestyle brand, Sol House. New properties include the 132-room Sol House Kuta Bali, already open; the 226-room Sol House Phu Quoc in Vietnam, scheduled to open in 2016; and the 178-room Sol House Jimbaran, slated to welcome guests in 2018. All three properties will offer restaurants, swimming pools, spas, meeting rooms and children’s activities. “For decades our company has led the resort segment in the major part of the Mediterranean and in the Caribbean, so we are in a great position to grow in the key holiday destinations in Asia,” said Bernardo Cabot, president for Asia Pacific, Meliá Hotels International. The hotel company’s portfolio in the Asia Pacific region includes 20 hotels, with eight currently in operation and 12 in the pipeline.
