Hello from Northern Michigan! The Global Traveler staff is currently in Gaylord, Mich., for our annual conference. This year we moved our meeting to the scenic Treetops Resort, the closest full-service resort to metro Detroit. 
The resort is a perfect fit for conferences, offering more than 20,000 square feet of flexible and modern meeting space, including 11 meeting rooms. In addition to catering to business travelers, Treetops provides 81 holes of championship golf courses, a spa, indoor and outdoor pools and downhill ski runs. After finishing our productive meetings during the day, my colleagues and I have been enjoying the resort’s beautiful location, set on more than 3,000 acres of natural beauty, and its dining venues. Our first two nights in town we enjoyed a cocktail hour featuring a great selection of Michigan craft beer and wine in beautiful weather and delicious meals at Legends on the Hill and the Sports Bar.
