Thailand Tourism hosted a private screening for the local Los Angeles audience to introduce its new collaboration with DreamJobbing called The Local Traveler. The premise was to find a U.S. traveler and send them packing for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Thailand. The catch is they go solo, can’t stay at hotels/hostels and will be led through relatively unknown towns and regions. No Phuket or Chiang Mai on this trip!
United Airlines’ environmentally friendly efforts lessen the impact on local U.S. communities.
I may work for Global Traveler, but I am also a true reader of the magazine and our e-newsletters as well, relying on our content to give me a burst of travel inspiration. In last week's eFlyer USA, our feature article mentions the changing revenue initiatives of hotels and resorts to offer day passes to their amenities, including their pools. Now locals and travelers (perfect for Airbnbers) can spend the day at a resort’s pool for a small daily fee without paying for a room on sites like Day Pass and Resort Pass.
