Luxury hotel group GHM announced plans to open its first resort in the Maldives in 2016. Located 20 minutes via speedboat from Hanimadhoo International Airport (HAQ), The Chedi Dhapparu will feature 90 villas and 90 hotel suites with views of either a coral-reef lagoon or the open ocean. “The setting is absolutely spectacular, and lends itself perfectly to our brand philosophy – that each GHM hotel should, in its own way, be a style to remember,” said Hans R. Jenni, president of GHM. “We couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity.” The property will include a spa with 10 treatment rooms, a health club, a club lounge, a beach club, a library, a cigar lounge and four food and beverage outlets. GHM currently operates and is developing properties in Bali, India, Japan, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
