Two years of renovations and refurbishment have left the historic Hotel Atlantic Kempinski perfectly polished. With its water-side address opposite Hamburg‘s sparkling Lake Alster, numerous nautical nuances, a soothing Energy Center with pool and luxurious spa treatments, and a grand, marbled decor, this sumptuous hotel is drenched in sophistication and comfort.
Despite the stately architecture, there’s nothing stuffy going on beneath the vast roof: interspersed throughout the luxurious surroundings, you’ll find paintings by German rock star-turned drummer Udo Lindenberg, who’s cheerfully cheeky art keeps the mood light and welcoming. The identity of the mysterious figure wearing dark glasses and a slouchy hat striding through a number of the paintings? That’s Lindenberg’s whimsical, artistic representation of himself.
