Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) reached a milestone with today’s opening its new Sky Train service.
Terminal 4 passengers board the complimentary Sky Train from Level 3, where the gates and security checkpoints are located, for a two-minute ride to the airport’s largest economy parking area or for a five-minute ride to the Metro 44th Street Station. Trains arrive and depart every three to five minutes, 24 hours a day.
Construction on remaining routes is ongoing with service expected to be up and running for all three airport terminals by early 2015. In its final stages, the Sky Train will continue to the Rental Car Center.
