Avianca Airlines now links two Florida cities with destinations in Guatemala and Nicaragua. The airline connects Miami (MIA) with Guatemala City, Guatemala (GUA). Travelers can also now fly directly between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Managua, Nicaragua (MGA).
Flights depart from MIA daily at 1:45 p.m. and arrive in GUA at 2:25 p.m. Returning flights leave from GUA at 3:25 p.m. and land in MIA at 8:10 p.m. With this route, passengers can connect via GUA to San José, Costa Rica, via Avianca.
Flights depart from FLL to MGA daily at 4 p.m., landing in MGA at 4:40 p.m., with returning flights leaving MGA at 10 a.m. and arriving in FLL at 2:35 p.m.
In addition to these new routes, the airline plans to launch other connections between the United States and Central and Latin America, including Chicago (ORD) to San Salvador (SAL) and Dallas (DFW) to Bogotá (BOG).
The airline also recently unveiled a new V.I.P. lounge at Miami International Airport.
