Newly expanded, The Capra recently announced its Valais Ski Safari, offering a new way for travelers to explore one of Switzerland’s most renowned ski regions from the hotel’s base in Saas-Fee. With the professional guides, gear and details coordinated by The Capra team, skiers soar along two glaciers and at several bucket-list ski areas, including Zermatt, Crans Montana and Verbier, all via car or helicopter.

First introduced in 2015, The Capra reopened for its 2025 season boasting 38 rooms, 14 more than previously offered. Since its opening, the property has seen extensive renovations and the addition of two buildings added to the original structure. In addition to adding six double rooms, seven junior suites and one penthouse suite, the recent expansion also enhanced the spa, with a new relaxation area, fitness room and yoga/Pilates studio.

The Valais Ski Safari combines celebrated destinations and hidden gems. A vetted, Swiss-certified guide will take skiers from Saas-Fee to various ski areas while providing daily guidance on itinerary, terrain and dining. Equipment can be rented in Saas-Fee, with ski passes arranged in advance or in the morning. The Capra arranges all transfers. Ideal for one to five skiers, the Valais Ski Safari itinerary is customizable.
