Every year, AmaWaterways’ Latin Touch program dedicates a sailing specifically to Spanish-speaking travelers. Due to continued strong growth, the cruise line decided to add a second itinerary for 2025: Swiss Alps & Rhine & Castle Christmas cruise, joining the previously announced Latin Touch’s Enticing Douro.

The Swiss Alps & Rhine & Castle Christmas cruise will depart Basel, Switzerland, Dec. 15, 2025, for an eight-day cruise aboard the 162-guest AmaVenita, sailing through Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands in time for the cities’ holiday décor and famous Christmas markets. Markets are offered in every port of call, with some popular ones being Market of Cologne Cathedral, Marché de Noël de Baden-Baden and Heidelberg’s Marktplatz.
A bilingual Cruise Manager will host the Latin Touch sailing, which also includes a daily tour with Spanish-speaking guides, daily cruise programs, a daily newsletter and menus all in Spanish. Zumba classes and two evenings of Latin-inspired entertainment will also be on offer.

For excursions beyond the Christmas markets, offerings include a walking tour that takes you to Switzerland, France and Germany; a wine tasting highlighting Rüdesheim’s vineyards; a panoramic walking tour in Strasbourg; a guided tour of Cologne Cathedral; and a canal cruise in Amsterdam.
