Featuring 141 rooms, including guestrooms, suites and residences, all set on almost 13 acres, Viceroy at Ombria Algarve honors the history and culture of authentic Portuguese style through its architecture and interior design. All guestrooms and suites offer a mix of terraces, pools, balconies or Jacuzzis, as well as little kitchens, pantries and dressing spaces.
Six dining outlets, each paying homage to the hotel’s locality, will also grace the space. Restaurants will use produce either grown on site in the gardens and orchards or sourced locally. Café Central will serve homemade pastries, pastel de nata and light meals in a wood-fired oven. Bellvino specializes in wine, charcuterie, cheese and olive oil, while Ombria Kitchen offers an all-day dining venue with a live cooking station and traditional Portuguese fare. Solalua is the place to go for innovative and creative dishes and cocktails. In the clubhouse, Cassa & For a caters primarily to golfers with a relaxed menu and spacious terrace, as well as craft beers from Portugal. The pool bar, Salpico, serves fresh and light dishes.

Guests will also enjoy four swimming pools, a holistic-focused Spa by Viceroy, and meeting and event spaces.
Immersive experiences ensure guests live like true Portuguese locals. For instance, a honey experience takes guests on a journey from hive to jar, guided by a local beekeeper with decades of expertise. Guests on this tour will visit hives, extract honey, and enjoy a tour and tasting. Other experiences led by locals include horseback riding, wine and olive oil tastings, bird watching, hiking, boat trips, bread-making classe,s and pottery workshops.
Golf lovers can play a game on the 18-hole course designed by Jorge Santana da Silva, complete with a clubhouse to serve as a hub for local golfers.

May 21, 2025Hotel Nice Beau Rivage Review
In the city Henri Matisse once called home — and where Musée Matisse holds his largest collection — Hotel Beau Rivage has a special connection with the artist, who first visited the hotel in 1916 and painted famous sea views from his room 89 in 1917. Today, framed Matisse prints — many brightly colored cut-out collages from the artist’s JAZZ collection — decorate its walls. Hotel guests also benefit from a partnership with the museum.
