Immerse Yourself in the Magic of Ljubljana’s LUV Festival
Starting Feb. 8, the city’s renowned LUV Fest in Ljubljana celebrates love in all its forms, from romance; to friendship; to shared passions for the arts, nature or culinary delights. This festival runs until March 12 and features art installations, photo spots, creative workshops to make souvenirs, concerts, exhibitions and more.
Stroll Through Charming Town Centers
Slovenia is home to several town centers rich with love and history. Historical towns waiting to be explored include Ptuj, Idrija, Piran, Skofja Loka, Kamnik, Celje and Metlika. For instance, in Metlika, you’ll find museums, galleries, a pilgrimage complex flanked by three Gothic churches and a town square. Up in Kamnik, you can take in this medieval city through castles and a monastery, while Idrija, a UNESCO World Heritage site, features one of the oldest preserved mine entrances in Europe, a 16th-century castle and more.
