Everyone loves a good Christmas tree, but these iconic hotels around the world take it one step further with designer-styled trees illuminating lobbies and public spaces, wowing all who enter. Claridge’s x Louis Vuitton
Yes, you heard that right. Louis Vuitton was the designer behind this upscale London hotel’s annual Christmas tree. A longtime friend of Claridge’s, Louis Vuitton celebrates the Art of Travel through both brands in the tree. Featuring two large, open Malles Vestiaure or “Wardrobe Trunks” looming on top of each other, each trunk is adorned with Claridge’s travel stickers over the year, as well as an oversized Louis Vuitton luggage tag. The tree itself consists of 15 vertically placed chrome repurposed trunks of varying heights, creating a silhouette of a traditional Christmas tree while embracing an Art Deco vibe. At the top of the tree is Asnières, the historic Louis Vuitton family home and atelier. The tree also boasts 21 Louis Vuitton Vivienne mascots. Should you find yourself at Claridge’s this season, be sure to take part in the hotel’s many festive offerings, from a holiday afternoon tea to special menus at its various dining outlets.

In Amsterdam, the luxury Pulitzer Amsterdam partnered with modern and elegant fashion brand ROKSANDA to create a Christmas tree synonymous with the creativity at the core of both brands. This year’s tree drew inspiration from Norwegian textile artist Hanne Friis, renowned for her sculptures and tactile pieces challenging tradition. ROKSANDA took details from the hotel’s colorful and playful interiors to create a bold and eye-catching tree bursting with color.

Riggs Washington D.C. x Lingua Franca
The Washington, D.C. hotel collaborated with luxury cashmere brand Lingua Franca to create this year’s holiday tree, culminating in a hand-stitched installation embroidered with sustainably sourced, luxe garlands. The tree, trimmed with custom ornaments threaded with important messages, embodies both brand’s relaxed approach to life and shopping. In addition to the tree, the hotel will be home to a Lingua Franca Cashmere pop-up in the lobby to allow shoppers to create their own custom cashmere and cashmere sweaters, as well as find gifts for loved ones.

The Dewberry, located in Charleston, South Carolina, unveiled its 2023 holiday tree and decorations thanks to its partnership with Schumacher. The American design house known for its alluring textiles and wallpaper helped design the bow-crowned fir, as well as the hotel’s Living Room. The hotel boasts custom trimmings; Schumacher fabrics; and even a limited-edition, seasonal cocktail inspired by the décor. The tree itself combines elements from Schumacher fabrics and textures, incorporating colors associated with the holidays.

Influential British artist and sculptor Dame Rachel Whiteread was behind the design of The Connaught’s tree this year. Standing 31 feet tall, the British-sourced Premiere Nordmann tree features 102 circular neon white hoops, all illuminating the streets of Mayfair. Whiteread chose circles of light to encourage Londoners to celebrate togetherness, seeing the circle as a positive symbol of brightness this season.

May 30, 2025By-the-cabin Yachting Redefines the Cruise Experience
I wish this day could last forever!” my windswept 9-year-old exclaimed, his voice soaring over the Mediterranean. He gripped the helm of a Bali 4.6 sailing catamaran off the coast of Marseille, his sun- bleached hair whipping in the salty breeze. The scent of the sea mingled with the aroma of warm baguettes drifting from the Côte d’Azur shoreline. Our captain, a seasoned sailor, subtly adjusted course, letting my son feel the exhilarating pull of the wind against the sails. As the waves lapped against the hull, I realized this was no ordinary vacation — this was freedom, unfiltered.
