Studio MHNA demonstrated its sensitivity and unique style in the latest project by the Constance Hotels & Resorts group: the Constance Belle Mare Plage (aka C Mauritius). C Mauritius sits on the tranquil east coast of Mauritius, about 36 miles from the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.

This new hospitality concept offers a veritable haven of peace surrounded by one-of-kind paradisiac beaches. Stretching along 1.5 miles of a private, white-sand beach, C Mauritius, known for its excellent 5-star service, all-inclusive meals, beverages and snacks, and lush tropical environment, is the perfect choice for some unforgettable luxury holidays in Mauritius. .
Interior designers Marc Hertrich and Nicolas Adnet created a décor respecting the island nation’s cultural identity and reflecting the richness of its local heritage. Thanks to their collaboration with the Mauritian architect Marie-Ange Kreitman, some of the island’s soul has been infused into this hotel, where time seems to stand still.

The resort operates on a premium, all-inclusive basis and features 116 elegantly designed rooms divided between 52 Prestige rooms and the 64 Deluxe rooms, with three pools, four restaurants, a cellar with organic wines and a magnificent spa. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, from Padel tennis to beach volleyball, kayaking to stand-up paddleboarding, snorkeling to kite surfing.
The beach bar radiates a fresh and bright atmosphere, a relaxing space enhanced by the graphical shapes of the blue chairs and benches. The aquatic world is represented here by fishing nets falling from a suspended boat and seashells decorating the counter of the interior bar. The glass railing offers a unjobstructed view of the ocean.

With a light and subtle touch, rooms pay homage to natural materials. In the Prestige and Deluxe rooms, furniture expresses the versatility and strength of wood: headboards, bedside tables and lighting. All around the room photos illustrate the traditional skill of caning, also apparent in the finely carved handrests of the curved arms of the chairs. The headboards and paneling, with their azure-blue palette, bring guests closer to nature. From the little oasis of their balcony or terrace, guests enjoy the breathtaking ocean view.
Mauritius is the fruit of many influences, and in designing the restaurant to look like a food market, the island’s Asian roots are revealed. Hanging lanterns, navy blue flags and dishes prepared at the counter in front of guests are all the hallmarks of an amazing culinary journey. Comfortably sunk into the cushions of the black wooden chairs, guests can look through the bay windows and view the blue shades of sky and sea.

The other dining areas offer the same welcoming atmosphere and traditional hospitality of the Mauritian people. On the walls, paddles patterned with bright colors lend a nod to a variety of water sports. Suspended whale bones catch the eye and pay tribute to the importance of the marine world to the island. On the ceiling of the main room an assortment of wooden chairs and rounded rattan hangers decorate the spa. An area of well-being for finding peace and relaxation, the spa proves one of the hotel’s mainstays.
The spa’s dedicated pavilion features transparent black curtains to create an intimate atmosphere for massage treatments, and the fresh scent of red hibiscus perfumes the air. Every part of the spa invites guests to relax, from the hammam area to the outdoor thatch-roofed hut hosting yoga classes. The latter opens onto a pool framed in black stones and lanterns, a place perfectly designed for quiet meditation. A little further away, guests can enjoy a refreshing glass of infused water on a suspended bench of white woven rattan.

May 23, 2025Relax, Rejuvenate and Heal at StolenTime
At the namesake luxury, 5-star all-inclusive resort in Saint Lucia, the concept of “stolen time” used to be reserved for couples escaping to canoodle, reconnect and perhaps rekindle in sumptuous accommodations during a romantic getaway on the lush Caribbean island. But when StolenTime by Rendezvous rebranded in late 2022 to welcome all adult guests and focus more on wellness, the philosophy expanded to encompass self-reflection, personal growth and enrichment. After all, time is our most precious commodity, one that’s finite and too quickly slips through our grasp; we need to find those moments that matter and make them count.

May 21, 2025Hotel Nice Beau Rivage Review
In the city Henri Matisse once called home — and where Musée Matisse holds his largest collection — Hotel Beau Rivage has a special connection with the artist, who first visited the hotel in 1916 and painted famous sea views from his room 89 in 1917. Today, framed Matisse prints — many brightly colored cut-out collages from the artist’s JAZZ collection — decorate its walls. Hotel guests also benefit from a partnership with the museum.
