Who says beauty and business don’t mix? The Turks & Caicos Islands are a sight to behold, and they’re also ideal for conducting meetings, exhibitions and conventions.
There’s much to draw meeting attendees. This archipelago of about 45,000 people comprises 100 named islands, cays and rocks. Its collection of water wonders includes world-renowned Grace Bay Beach with its pink, peach and white sand. Nature’s magic also abounds in the wetlands, reefs and wildlife: sharks, stingrays, dolphins, an array of fish and birds, flamingoes, owls, osprey and pelicans. Depending on the season, your group just might glimpse humpback and pilot whales.
You can easily blend the best of nature with everything you need to host a success- ful event. The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos sits on Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales, the epicenter of TCI. The 20,000 square feet of meeting space includes a 4,900-square- foot ballroom that can be divvied up into three separate rooms. Or opt for one of the outdoor spaces like the manicured event lawn and grand promenade. During downtime, meeting goers can enjoy the beach, spa, casino and adults-only pool with private cabanas. Your organization might want to charter a private sunset sail for up to 50 people on the resort’s Lady Grace catamaran.

The boutique Shore Club on Long Bay Beach features just 38 rooms and six private villas but offers a variety of indoor and outdoor venues. The 3,000-square-foot ballroom accommodates 350 people; or book the elegant terrace, perfect for a cocktail reception or breaks between meetings. The pool deck provides a scenic setting for a memorable evening event for 50. There’s a fully equipped business center, and catering options include a tasting menu from one of the island’s most popular restaurants, SUI-REN.
At The Palms Turks & Caicos on Grace Bay, the beachside deck adjoining the infinity pool with beach views makes quite the setting for an under-the-stars event for up to 100 people. The croquet lawn offers another option, with tents if you like. The ballroom holds up to 100 people and can be split to hold smaller events; a large terrace works for coffee breaks and receptions. Groups can also gather at a lit reflecting pool on the spa grounds, available for rent. For downtime, guests can take advantage of complimentary classes such as paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkeling, among others.
Karen Loftus of Lofty Traveler, a luxury travel advisor and member of the Virtuoso Network, is an expert on corporate travel in Providenciales. She offers her advice: “The Ritz, Grace Bay, Seven Stars, Wymara, The Shore Club and The Rock House are top hotels and resorts for corporate and leisure travel. There is no Uber, and taxis are not easily available. Car services, especially with a group, are excellent and efficient.”
UNIQUE VENUES
All work and no play make for a dull event. For a memorable meeting, impress attendees with TCI’s off-site venues everyone will talk about long after the last session.
Get guests to hit the greens at the 18-hole championship Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club course, twice voted fourth-Best Caribbean Golf Course in USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards. Find out what the fuss is about. The club’s 19 Bar and Restaurant offers views over-looking the 18th green, providing a great setting for lunch or cocktails.
At Indigo Restaurant at Wymara Resort and Villas, award-winning executive chef and culinary director Andrew Mirosch mixes his native Australian specialties with a Caribbean twist. The creamy Aussie-style seafood chowder and Jamaican jerk shrimp will wow the crowd. Located on Grace Bay, it seats 60 people indoors and 90 outdoors. You can rent the entire restaurant.
For that special crowd of 25 people, go for a full-day private charter with Luxury Experiences Turks & Caicos on a Ferretti 83-foot luxury motor yacht. Cruise Little Water Cay and Big Water Cay, with options like visiting secluded beaches, swimming and snorkeling. Guests can enjoy music, food and beverages as well as the use of two jet skis for nearly two hours.
Team-build and get better acquainted. Ocean Outback Adventures specializes in private boat charters for groups of up to 40. Expect natural and historical sights off the western coast of TCI. The Silly Cay Adventure stops at calm and sheltered beaches, lagoons and a small old fort and includes encounters with wildlife like stingrays, turtles and tropical birds.
An island favorite, da Conch Shack recently made USA Today’s list of the 10 best beach bars in the Caribbean for 2023. It reigns as king of conch, but you can get much more, be it snapper, grouper, lobster or jerk chicken. Choose this casual beach bar, and your meeting attendees can let their hair down. A good option for up to 100 people.

May 21, 2025Hotel Nice Beau Rivage Review
In the city Henri Matisse once called home — and where Musée Matisse holds his largest collection — Hotel Beau Rivage has a special connection with the artist, who first visited the hotel in 1916 and painted famous sea views from his room 89 in 1917. Today, framed Matisse prints — many brightly colored cut-out collages from the artist’s JAZZ collection — decorate its walls. Hotel guests also benefit from a partnership with the museum.
